Happy Fucksgiving. As in I give zero fucks about today. I really don't. I don't care about football, don't enjoy tons of family or people, have no interest in parades, and don't need a special day to eat more food than is healthy. It's a Thursday is what it is. Last year we went over to our friend's house mostly because I knew B didn't want to be alone on her first major holiday away from family. Not this year. Peace and quiet thank you.
Got up yesterday and did some catch up and follow up work. I helped out multiple clients on some problems they were having. I managed to get one solved and did a GTM with the client and she was super happy. The other I couldn't figure out and had to hand off to someone else but I definitely tried my best on it. I then spent about 2 hours giving B her intro training. When we were in Vegas my boss suggested I teach her the software tools so we can use her as a resource on occasion. She was down for that and we started her intro training yesterday. I did it and treated it like a regular class. Reminded me of how many years ago I taught X2 how to write HTML on a bar napkin while drinking and oh look, that turned into her owning her own UI company. Who knows what will happen this time. Speaking of X2, I had the most bizarre dream last night. Haven't thought of her in a long while, but there she was in my dream. Weird. I have lost most of the details, but it was odd.
After teaching B, I took a nap. We then cleaned the house, watched a little TV, I made dinner, then we went to the store to get some last minute stuff for today. Hey, just because we aren't going anywhere doesn't mean she doesn't want to cook. She has a whole menu planned and the kid is stopping by for a little while on their way to the BF's family.
B remembered that the kid was coming over and decided the house wasn't clean enough. I went off and hid in the other room for that. I am not dumb. Played some Diablo, waited for her to be done, and went off to bed around 11.
I am going to enjoy the next 4 days come hell or highwater.
