Yesterday was not as good as Sunday. Not through any fault of our own, but instead a little a fluke we didn't expect. It turns out that down here they gave all the school districts both yesterday and today off for Veterans Day. We had heard rumors but we weren't prepared. Not for eleventybillion people on a frickin' Monday.

We went to breakfast around 9 and had a wonderful breakfast. The hotel (due to it's not being a typical familyesque or inexpensive hotel) was not overly crowded and we were feeling good. Here's the thing we connected the dots on later - part of the reason the hotel wasn't bad is because everyone LOCALLY had the day off, not everyone from away. We were planning to go see Big Hero 6 at Downtown Disney after doing some shopping.

We finished up breakfast and walked over to the parking lot for the shuttles. W. T. F??? It was packed. The parking lot was over 60% full at 9:45 in the morning. It took us 30 minutes to get on a shuttle and to the park gates. I was so losing my cool. So many people for a Monday in November. It was insane. We finally made it through bag check and ended up in Downtown Disney. At this point we had about 25 minutes until the movie started by the time we got to the theater.

The movie was pretty empty luckily and WE LOVED IT. It is a wonderful movie. The short before, Feast, is beautiful. A must see on BH6. Just a great movie. When it was over we did some shopping but both of us were getting very frustrated from the quantity of people. We just said fuck it and headed back to the hotel.

We had a 6:30pm dinner reservation at Carthay and had some time to kill. We relaxed for a while, got ready, and headed back. I did almost lose my shit with B because once again, what should have been relaxing was ruined by sheer volumes of stupid people, and she forgot her annual pass. There was not enough time to get back to the hotel and still make dinner. Luckily guest services was able to get her a one time exception pass.

Dinner was okay. There's a theme going here if you didn't notice and it's TOO MANY PEOPLE. I don't think the park was expecting as many people since yesterday wasn't an expected holiday. At one point there was an announcement made that park hours were being extended for an extra hour just because of the amount of people. The service at dinner was well below my expectations. Food was good, but. Our dinner included World of Color tickets which we went off to after dinner. We got stuck behind a pole. Fuck this day. Let's go.

Back in the hotel everything was great. I ended up falling right asleep because I was worn out from the day and frankly the last week. I needed the sleep.

Today we are staying away from the parks as it's a known holiday.
