It's a bad day here. Everything smells like smoke and ash. But it's a worse day for the kid. She's in it again. Last time she was spared, this time doesn't seem so likely. Yes, she is right in the path of the new Camp Creek fire that spread from 20 acres to 18,000 in less than 12 hours. She was at work when the evacuation order came and wasn't back allowed into her new place. She made it to the boyfriends place but her whole life is probably gone. This morning the reports said her town is 'utterly devastated'. I am beside myself with worry and anxiety.
This of course all happened during class. I don't care if I get bad reviews from these people. It just isn't important to me right now.
I am headed to the airport soon. Hopefully the smoke won't cause any delays.
Fuck this world.
