Y10 D170

Unfortunately we still have no concrete update on the kid's place. The roads are still shut down so no one can get close enough to know the extent of the damage. As of 8pm last night, the fire was 25% contained and moving away from town, however the winds were set to pick back up and who knows what could happen as a result. The kid's coworker offered her a spare room in her house which means she will be able to get to and from work easily. Today she is heading to work then going over there afterwards. She is worried now about money because she is having to buy stuff over again like clothes and toiletries but also has her normal bills coming out. I am really hoping that the management company immediately gives everyone back their deposit and pro-rates their rent. We shall see.

On our front, we busted ass finalizing packing, getting parts needed for the fish, working in the garage, etc. The movers will be here in 5 hours. We got everything out of the office except the stuff that is coming with us. We are going to put the cats in there while the movers are here with a big do not open sign on it. DON'T DEAD OPEN INSIDE? Some of you will get that joke. Others won't. Regardless, we are ready. In 24 hours we will be heading out to MT our first stop. 900 miles of driving with 4 fish, two cats, and a ton of shit. Oh boy.

I just heard someone outside 'howl'. No really. Who the fuck is walking around howling at 3:15 in the morning? Sigh. Humans.
