I think it's finally starting to sink in that I live here. HERE. Weird. You know I haven't even been in my own backyard yet? Snow and cold and too many things to do inside has kept me from going outside. I am going to make that a priority today. I started taping off the office so I can paint today.
So what DID I get accomplished yesterday? Well, I installed the Nest as planned. That thing is pretty neat. It should over time save me money. Going to submit the rebate form today. Between the savings as a best buy elite and the rebate, this stupid thing is going to cost me $75. Not too bad.
We also went exploring a little bit. I am learning the streets and the areas. For once I am glad I travel as much as I do. I can remember things faster than the average person when it comes to navigating. I can get to at least 3 or 4 main stores we need to use. Success.
We 'cooked' at home too. Had pulled pork sandwiches with mashed potatoes and veggies. Yes, I made dinner in a microwave, but we sat in bed (on the floor), watched TV, and had a nice time in our home. Still so quiet, I can't get over it.
Today we have to take one cat to the vet. Her tooth situation is getting worse. Need to fix that ASAP. That and painting are our big projects for Monday.
Oh, and just to be clear - FUCK THANKSGIVING.
