As you can see, I slept in this morning. I didn't go to bed until almost midnight though. But regardless, I got a good night sleep. Why did I sleep so well? Because B found us a bed. Since we don't know when our stuff is arriving, we broke down and bought a mattress and box spring. We need one in the guest room anyway and it won't go to waste. Made for a much better night's sleep, that's for sure. It was also only $300 at big lots. Yep. Big Lots. Go figure. That was but one of many things we did yesterday. Day two in our new home went much better than day one.
We also got paint for the master bedroom, the main bathroom, and my office. That will be our project next week. We are dealing with a clogged drain in the bathroom so got a snake to try and work through that.
I was talking to my sister last night and was telling her about things like that around here. I feel like the previous owner either didn't live here much or bought it solely to flip. Things are just not 'done' in places. But I am hesitant to say anything critical in front of B. I don't want her thinking I hate the place. She did a lot in finding and getting it for us and I want her to feel proud. It's just me being bitchy me.
I picked up a nest yesterday too. That's one of my projects for today. Shouldn't be too hard to install. All of four wires. Harder part will be figuring out the fuse box controls. Not well labeled.
No word from the movers. I was hoping they might have any update. Cross your fingers I hear from them on Monday.
