Y6 D22

Yesterday was a nearly perfect day. It was only missing one thing - someone with whom to share it. I arrived in town around 6, went to Denny's for breakfast, then headed to the parking lot. I was first in line at the parking gates when they opened at 7. Ended up with first spot of the day. A great way to start the day. Since there was still an hour until the park opened I walked over instead of taking the shuttle. That worked to my advantage as I only waited a little while before they opened the main gates. The first thing I noticed was the lack of crowds at the gates. That got me in a positive mood from the outset. Once inside I went straight for the collector's pins I was hoping they still had. Score! I picked up both of the Father's Day pins and the two World Cup pins. From there I decided to wander around. Since I was alone, I figured what the heck. Time to go on some rides that B doesn't care for, specifically Tower of Terror. When I went over there, the CM informed me that the elevators were down for repair but the lobby and library were open for pictures. Okay! I went in and this was a great chance to take some pics that normally you don't get to do because there's a line of people. While I was in there taking pictures one of the CMs asked if I wanted to be a Bellhop. YES PLEASE! I got to put on the outfit and take pictures. So much fun. After that I went and had ice cream for breakfast at the Ghirardelli store. Then I did some pin trading and went on Golden Zephyr. I had an entire Zephyr to myself. After that I went on Screamin' which had a 4 minute wait. I went on Arial next with a zero wait. Next up was Monsters. GOD I love the parks when they are 'empty'. Empty of course being relative to a beautiful summer day weekend. Did more pin trading, took pictures, and then headed to downtown Disney around 10. I did some more shopping including picking up a Malificent apple, some dish towels for B, and more pins. Way too many pins, but what the hell. I then headed over to the hotel grounds and went to Trader Sam's for lunch. That was a blast. All sorts of Tiki drinks and food were consumed. I left the park around 1:30 and got my hotel around 2. B didn't wake up until about 11 as she was up until 3. I hate when she goes back there because she slips back into her old schedule. After I checked into the hotel I slept from 2-4. My room btw is very nice. Double the size of a regular room with a completely separate front room. This will be great to work from today and tomorrow. When I woke up I headed to Del Taco for dinner. One of those places I miss as we don't have any around us. Came back, ate, and watched some TV shows on netflix until about 9. The day finally caught up with me and I went to bed around 9:30. Slept until almost 5. Finally a good night's sleep. So needed.

The weather was wonderful. The park crowds were perfect. The shopping was great. Everything about yesterday made me so happy. I just wish I didn't do alone. But then again, there was some satisfaction in being there alone, I won't lie.

In side news - I received some nice Father's day messages from folks, got great responses to things I posted on social media throughout the day, and even caved in and sent my dad a Father's Day email. It was the least I could do and it made him feel good. Why not. Didn't hurt me any. B was dealing with her mother being a bitch about her seeing her dad. We both agreed she needed to chill the fuck out because it was Father's Day. Put aside petty issues for a day and just be nice.

Today I am attending a class from 7:30 - 3:30. Then I am supposed to meet my boss for dinner. Other than that, no plans for tonight. I will probably try to get another full night of sleep. Let the day begin!
