Y6 D10

Yesterday was just a series of clusterfucks. First was the issue in the bathroom which took forever to clean up. Mostly because I was half awake while I was trying to do it. Then there were issues with my class. I had 9 students scheduled and at 2 minutes before start time I only had 2 users connected. This is typically indicative of a problem with the link or the connection. In this case it was the link. We had to quickly troubleshoot what was going on. It looks like gotomeeting changed something on their side and the URL we have been using fine up until now no longer works. I ended up having to get everyone connected manually which caused class to start 20 minutes late. But that wasn't the worst part. When we hit the first demo 9 out of 10 servers all failed. They are all ghosted images and for whatever reason they decided they weren't going to work yesterday. Sweet. I managed to get through it and finish on time thank goodness but what a hoot that was.

After class I needed to get out of the house and went to Target. We needed food and other stuff. Took care of that and got home 20 minutes before B. B finally heard back on her grandmother's upcoming surgery. She will be having her surgery on the 13th so B is going to go back home the 14th - 28th. Her last day at work was originally supposed to be the 14th but she called her boss last night and moved it to the 12th. Two weeks I will be living alone. That part actually is going to be interesting. Of course 4 of those days I will be out of town taking a class, but still that's a week and a half where I will be all alone. Let's see how that goes. While she is back there she talked to her old boss and is going to pick up some shifts at the ice cream place. It won't be a lot of money, but it will at least keep her from going stir crazy and give her some spending money while she is there.

After we took care of her travel arrangements B did something that surprised me - she wanted to watch one of the movies on her list of 'moviecation' movies. Someone posted something and she didn't understand the reference and decided to do something about it. We ended up watching the Matrix. Yep. I totally enjoyed it even 15 years later. Of course now I have to get her to watch the other movies in the series, but the fact that we finally watched a movie and BOTH enjoyed it was satisfaction enough. She only had a few questions throughout and ended up liking the movie. When the movie was over she was tired and got into bed. I played Diablo for a little while. I am almost through Act V with my Witch Doctor. I will get that toon to 70 come hell or high-water. I want the six toons at 70 achievement and I am so close. My Witch Doctor is almost there and my demon hunter is at 66. Just finish them off and bam achievement mine. Yeah, I know it's stupid but it keeps me occupied.

Part 2 of the same class today followed by two one day classes and this week is over. Just three more days.
