Two weeks until a walking cheeto is president. And his band of merry thieves will slash AHCA, PP, Medicare, and all those other things that people depend on. Good job. Can we start the impeachment hearings now? Or just the shootings? Oh wait. That did start. 6 days and we have our first mass shooting. At an airport no less. Lovely. Especially since yesterday I booked my first trip of the year in two weeks also. Lucky me. Will be just outside Chicago. Where the gangs have killed more people in the last few weeks than even Oakland. Wonderful. Hell, hand-basket.
Taught my first class of the year. What a clusterfuck. I am not a fan of this new material. I didn't write it and it shows. It has major plot holes if you will. Things error out, files missing. Just a fun time for all. I managed to get through it. Finished at 1:30 because the material is extremely light. Thankfully at least half were previous students and I was okay. I hope. Start of the year with a bunch of negative reviews.
After class I helped B clean a bit. She wanted to clean the house before the kid arrives today. Plus she wanted to bake a cake. She got overwhelmed and didn't finish the cake until almost 9. But it's done and looks awesome. Can't wait to try it tonight. Made mahi for dinner. Came out nice. Haven't had any fish in a while and it was good. Like really good.
Off to B's cousin's this morning to do animal stuff, then TO THE AIRPORT FOR THE KID! WHEE! I am excited to be seeing her here. We have so much we want to do in the next four days. It's going to be crazy. Plus it is supposed to snow 1-3 inches today. That should be fun for all. Time to get ready and head out.
