I have had it with these shippers. My "overnight" package finally arrived four days late and my 2nd day is finally scheduled to arrive today, 9 days late. Last night really pissed me off. I needed that adapter to arrive in time for today's trip. So I stayed up waiting for UPS to arrive by 8pm. At 8:01 I had to go to Best Buy, purchase an inferior adapter to tide me over and got back at 8:24pm. Guess who fucking shows up at 8:30? UP fucking S. SO now I have to go BACK to Best Buy, return the shitty one and I end up not going to bed until 9:30 to be up at 2:30. FML. Trying to talk to their customer service to try and get an ACCURATE delivery time is useless. "Please watch the website and wait". Fuck. You.
Was up early yesterday to go to the eye doctors. That went fine. No change in my prescription. I need a slightly stronger reading glass than last year, but otherwise, no changes. We also discussed laser surgery. $4000. Ugh, thanks but no thanks.
Got back and worked with B on getting her insurance shit straightened out. They have really fucked her up this year. Turns out no one bothered to enter her into the system correctly and she is in limbo. Hopefully they will get their shit together this week.
Worked on a few client things. Watched some TV, ordered pizza for dinner so we could have leftovers, and then the whole adapter issue. I also had a bit of an advance issue with the client in chicago I will be at this week. Turns out there was a miscommunication. I thought this was two days, he thought it was 1.5 as that's what his budget allowed. I am going to be in town for 2 so fuck it, you're getting 2. He just was adamant he didn't pay for 2. I am like I don't care. I am there, I will teach. End of story.
Leaving at 4:30. Fly out at 8. Land at 2. Direct flight in First Class. At least I will get fed today.
