I was talking with a friend last night and realized I haven't talked much about one of my christmas presents. Or at least I don't think I have? We got an Amazon Dot for Xmas. We went with the Dot over the Echo because the front room isn't that big. Plus the dot and echo will communicate (as do multiple dots) so we can add an echo on any time. We love it. We've use it regularly. Biggest things? Turning on lights when we come in, setting timers/alarms, adding groceries to a list, and doing math (cooking math mostly like divide 1 3/4 cup in half kind of stuff). I was asking him about CES as he usually goes because there was supposedly even more Alexa add-ons. Samsung is adding it to their fridges and vacuums, GE is doing a lamp, a washer/dryer, and more companies getting on board. I am down for this. The next thing I am getting is the Phillips hub with two lights so I can control the bedroom light and one other one. They are also working on integration to my media server which will really change things up. No more remote to watch shows or play music on the media server. THAT will be nice. Why don't I use Siri since we have so many apple devices? Dunno, I just hate Siri. Maybe it's the voice or how it's integrated, but I have no interest in using Siri on any of my machines. Maybe it's that - Alexa is stand alone where Siri is built into my computers. Slight difference yes, but one none the less.

We had a relaxing day yesterday. Did some shopping late last night. We needed a new blackout panel for the bedroom and ended up finding some great deals at Ross. Replaced the ones in the bedroom and put those up in my office. It's black as night in here right now AND they really do keep the temperature better regulated. We also stopped at Target while we were out.

During the day, I made B a pedicure appointment and while she was at that I went to the vape shop. I have been having some gurgle trouble with my tank and wanted some advice. Turns out I am not pushing my coils hard enough (that's what she said?). Instead of a new tank, they recommended a downshift in coil. I will be trying that out as soon as this tank is empty. Hopefully it will help.

Other than that stuff, pretty mellow day. Made mahi for dinner with broccoli tots. Trying to eat a little better this year. Too many celebrity deaths messed with my head. Just checked, nobody dead today. Good.

Today not much on the agenda. I am happy with that.
