I just dealt with something new for me. I went to take the trash out and the blacktop of our complex is one giant ice slick. I have heard of black ice on the roads, but not like this. I swear I thought I was going to die with every step. Now if I were 20 years younger I probably would have Risky Businessed that shit, but no. I am old and don't want to break a hip. You damn kids!
Yesterday was a quiet day again. I went out only once to the grocery store to get eggs as I made B an omelette for breakfast with our new pan and that about used them up. Other than that, she read (she finished the book finally and now is starting the second one. I told her that she would want to see how things play out), I played some video games, and then specifically in the afternoon, I started Fallout 4. I got as far as the character creator. It took an hour to go through the intros and the creation screens. I haven't seen a character creation as detailed as that one in a game ever. B and I did it together which was fun.
I got a couple of emails from work - one saying my expense report was rejected, then 20 minutes later another one saying to never mind. Ok.
I talked with a friend during the day. I love catching up with her. We talk a few times per year but it's always a good conversation when we do.
We dyed my hair at one point and B started a crochet project for the kid for Christmas.
Made a pork roast for dinner, watched some TV (new episodes of shows are finally coming back), and went to bed around 10:30.
A very quiet day.
