Managed to sleep in a little bit this morning. Better than my recent attempts. At least it wasn't 3am this morning. 4:11. I will take it.

Taught day 1 of 3 yesterday. I do not like the majority of the people on my class. Well, 50% of them at least. I guess that's not quite a majority. They are just not paying attention and some of them do not have the proper skills to be in this class. They are too inexperienced for the level of stuff we are going over. Today is the hardest of the three days and I am worried it's going to be a long trying day.  Managed to finish around 2:30 at least.

We headed out for the science museum around 3:45. Got there at 4:30 and wandered around. I took some nice pictures of the river, the buildings, etc. Our friends met us there at 5:15 and we got some dinner at the cafe. Really nice food at a reasonable price. We both had a pulled pork sandwich with homemade chips. After dinner we headed towards the lecture hall and listened to this great lecture on comic book superheroes of the 1940s. It was presented by a professor of English at the university. I had a really great time doing this. It's the kind of thing I have always wanted to do. Head into the city to hear a lecture. As cliche as it sounds, it made me feel kind of cool. Like I was a hip urban person listening to a lecture. I loved it. The presenter was fabulous and I learned quite a bit.

After the lecture we explored the rest of the exhibits and had a great time. When we were leaving around 8:30 we made plans for February with them. It's so nice to have friends to do adult stuff with that doesn't involve getting drunk.

Got home around 9:15 and watched some tv before bed. Headed off to bed at 10:30. Was a really great night. Not out too late, went somewhere new, didn't spend the night drinking, didn't spend too much money. I really enjoyed everything about it.

Now to teach these goobers.
